LDCC Image Processing Element employment opportunity Tellus Applied Sciences is a software and systems engineering company seeking Software Engineers to work on the Landsat Data Continuity Mission image processing element. Successful candidates will have strong structured software development experience and will have participated in the full software project life cycle including concept development, prototyping, requirements development, detailed design, development, integration at the component and product level, acceptance testing, and documentation. The positions require A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with experience in computer applications programming. The candidates must also have experience with C or C++, and Linux or Unix operating systems. Candidates must also possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, and be good at working in a software development team environment. It is highly desirable that the candidates have knowledge of satellite image processing techniques, an understanding of radiometric and/or geometric subject matter, and familiarity with satellite platforms and instruments. Also desirable are familiarity with CCSDS standards, experience in database design and the Hierarchical Data Format. Finally, experience with the development and implementation of Service Oriented Architectures is highly desirable. Either US Citizenship or a Green Card is required.
