| Meteorological
and Oceanographic Systems Engineering and Data Products |
Climate change
is increasing both the intensity and frequency of severe storms -
driving our needs for better data acquisition platforms. Tellus has
experience in the development, integration and deployment of ocean,
coastal, and estuarine-based sensor platforms. These platforms collect
meteorological, oceanographic, and biological data to satisfy user
needs in the weather, oceanographic, environmental, and commercial
communities. Project scope extends across the complete system life
cycle from analysis and definition of user needs through development,
test, deployment, and operations. Our experience also includes selection
of appropriate sensor technologies; implementation of data transport,
archive, and QA functions; and dissemination of data products via
the Internet.

Science Data Infrastructure and Management |
| Science data
infrastructure and management comprises the development, operations,
and maintenance of science data centers capable of ingesting, archiving,
processing, and delivering remotely-sensed data to the user community.
The high volumes of data typically associated with space or Earth-based
sensor platforms require unique approaches to storage, retrieval mechanisms,
data quality assurance, and product distribution. Tellus has experience
with the management and operation of such data centers, and the systematic
evolution of their capabilities to maximize productivity and ensure
cost-effective operations. |
